Studio 75 presents All the Pianos in MostarSunday October 16 7 pm. 40 mins.
All the Pianos in Mostar is an "accidental documentary" by Lowell Darling and Julian Ronnefeldt, about war, about friendship, about art and about memory. Director and Camera: Lowell Darling
Soon afterwards, Amela was forced by the German governement to leave the country. Having lost everything in the war, she had nowhere to return to. Amela and Lowell decided to turn the journey into several quests. For one, to find a site to start Lowell Darling's Unborn Soldier Project, an art installation. Nexct, the idea was to find, then then to play, all the pianos Amela could find between Split and Mostar. Lastly, they sought to find Amela's former piano teacher, whom she hadn't seen since she left Mostar. Lowell documented the whole trip with his newly acquired camera and later back in Berlin, Lowell gave the footage to Berlin artist Julian Ronnefeldt who then worked his way through 48 hours of footage to compose the documentary All the Pianos in Mostar.
